Lee Pryke & Associates recently interviewed Nina Sharma, owner of Nina L’Allure Laser Hair Removal and Laser Skin Pro & Aesthetics to learn more about the woman behind the brand.

What made you decide to enter the field of skin and laser hair removal?
Human Anatomy and dealing with hair and skin conditions has always been a passion of mine. Growing up, I was blessed with good skin, but so many people I knew had skin problems and I saw how it was affecting them not only physically but emotionally. It saddened me. I wanted to help.
Your work is known internationally. Can you explain a little more?
Living in England, I worked in the beauty industry as an electrologist and holistic therapist at the prestigious Bond Street, London, England Salons. The clientele included many A-List celebrities. I found my niche in lasers and advanced skin care treatments.
While in England I ran an Academy of Laser Science/Skin Care from 2012 - 2017. I also had the pleasure of collaborating with Dr. Schrammek - the world renowned brand for pigmentation, acne and scarring skin conditions. I wrote many articles and was a guest speaker for national and international magazines and radio programs which lead me to my own TV show called Nina Lallure Live discussing health and beauty concerns and remedies.
When I relocated to Toronto I had the privilege of joining Dr. Robert Sleightholm’s (plastic surgeon) team. I opened the doors of my first business Nina L’Allure Laser Hair Removal offering laser hair removal for women and men. In 2023 I opened my sister company Laser Skin Pro & Aesthetics where we offer Laser Facials and address conditions of the skin such as Rosacea, Pigmentation, Acne, Aging, Sun Damage and more.
What is your daily skin care routine?
In the early days when I was starting, there was not a lot of knowledge and information about skin care and anti-aging products. When I became an aromatherapist, I began to understand the value of essential oils and their antioxidant benefits on the skin. Essential oils play a valuable role in protecting against free radicals. Free radicals can destroy collagen production, causing hyperpigmentation and loss of elasticity. This can lead to premature aging and signs of damage to the skin. How do you make a client feel at ease and comfortable?
I'm very aware of the client's surroundings and creating a warm, comfortable space with soft music, essential oils, and proper temperature. I discuss with the client, in detail, their concerns, desired outcome, and lifestyle in an initial consultation. I remain professional at all times and am especially aware of creating a comfortable environment for services that require undressing. No personale is allowed to enter the room during treatment to provide a safe environment, and keep an open dialogue through all treatments to assure the best results.
What is your process for analyzing a client's skin before completing a facial?
I like to complete a formal history and questionnaire with the client to gain a solid foundational knowledge of their skin type, conditions, and any underlying factors, such as overall health, medications and chronic conditions. I also complete a thorough visual assessment of their skin. I train my clients to become their own advocate for their skin and how to continue taking care of their skin long-term.
